Visiting Crews

UTRC is pleased to welcome other clubs for training camps and rowing visits.

All visiting crews wishing to use the Upper Thames Rowing Club facilities, landing stages and car parks should email visitors@utrc.org.uk and we will confirm if your proposed dates are acceptable in terms of bookings already taken and scheduled river events.

Important information for visiting crews

In order to sensibly and safely manage the use of the available resources at Upper Thames, the following rules apply to all visiting crews.

Safety

Prior to arrival all visiting crews and coaches are to familiarise themselves with Instructions to Crews Visiting UTRC and the UTRC Safety Plan

Boat Storage

Boats must not be stored on club lawn or in the boathouse, but on the grass downstream of the boat house. All trestles for the boats must be provided by visitors. No UTRC trestles or other equipment is to be used at any time. Please leave trailers on the grass downstream of the new boat house. All visitors must provide their own blades and boats unless otherwise arranged.

Parking

Parking is only permitted on weekdays before 4pm. At weekends and after 4pm during the week no parking is allowed by any visitors unless they are an Upper Thames member. We have limited parking available at the club, so we ask you please respect this rule. Visitors should NOT park in Remenham Lane or on the grass at UTRC. We suggest you park in one of the main car parks in town and walk to the club (<15 minutes).

Club Room

The club room and other club facilities may be used by visitors and must be kept tidy at all times. Please remove boots and wellies before entering the club room, and keep the carpets clean especially in winter. Please do not leave food out and ensure any mess is cleared up.

Ergometers

Club ergos and the gym are for the use of UTRC members only.

Changing Rooms

The changing rooms may be used by visitors. Kit can be left in changing rooms at the owners own risk. Please keep the changing rooms tidy.
