UTRC represented at Silver Skiff Long Distance Sculling Race in Turin

Meanwhile, Upper Thames men lightweight Will Hoodless and Upper Thames Chairman Steve Dance, were in action on the water in Italy over the weekend at the Silver Skiff long distance sculling race on the River Po in Turin. Hoodless, using a borrowed boat, was the 9th fastest lightweight man, 31st overall and fastest UK finisher in a race which sees more than 300 scullers from across Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.A. competing over the 11 km course.

The winner of this year's event was New Zealander Mahe Drysdale, current World Champion in single sculls, whom Will last raced in the semi-final of the Diamond Challenge Sculls at Henley Royal Regatta in July.
