Catering

As an active rowing club we do not employ full time caterers, however we work with a number of local businesses and can make recommendations depending on the function you wish to have. We will also work with your own caterers subject to meeting and approval.

We can cater in-house for some smaller day time functions, by arrangement.

 Bar

The club is currently licensed with a Club Premises License. This means that in order for our bar to serve alcohol to guests they must be signed-in to the club, as guests of a member. This is something we can arrange and should not deter you from considering Upper Thames for your event. For events wishing to serve alcohol after midnight a TEN (Temporary Event Notice) would have to be applied for.

 Deposit & payment

The club charges a returnable £1000 deposit to cover cleaning costs, however it is expected that hirers of the club will clean and tidy following their event.
All events must be fully paid for in advance.

 Community Use

The club is available for use by legitimate community groups at reduced rates.
